Before;

 a 70’s style wallpaper with built-in avacado green stove, tired cabinetry and a dated tile floor,

oh ya, and the california ceiling. 

Now all new pure white cabinetry, travertine marble floors, new appliances and I removed the right side end wall and california ceiling to make it feel larger & airy!

We knew we had to do something in our kitchen:  it was 15 years old with cheap builders’ vinyl flooring, laminate countertops with scratches and a couple of pot burn marks — and a limited budget!

With our limited budget and no idea where to start we went to Pam.  Pam has great energy and enthusiasm and she was fabulous in taking us through all of the possible options and showing us where we could save a bit of money.    Our cupboards were still in good shape so we decided to concentrate on flooring, countertops and backsplash.  Pam worked her magic in helping us coordinate everything from countertops, flooring, paint, new furniture, backsplash and lighting, even with details as the kitchen handle replacements which have a high impact.  At the same time we decided to replace the floors in both bathrooms and Pam was wonderful in helping us pick out flooring, paint and accessories.

We couldn’t have done any of this without her – she has a great talent and her work shows what a fantastic designer and decorator she is!

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Pam and are extremely happy with our kitchen and constantly receive compliments about the transformation.

 I won’t start any of my decorating or renovating projects without first contacting Pam!   Thanks Pam!

There was wallpaper in every room that had been applied to the original, builders grade, painted plaster walls. When I removed the paper some of the plaster came with it. It was not pretty ! The walls needed to be patched and sanded, primed and painted to give a fresh clean look.

The hardwood floors had been covered with a shag rug that was now over 40years old. The rubber under-pad had disintegrated and hardened to the floor along with many years of spilt drinks etc.

The main bathroom was given a face-lift with new vinyl tiles and baseboards, removal of wallpaper and drapes and a cleaning.

De-cluttering of the dining room allows potential buyers to see the area.

The kitchen was scrubbed and painted - to add freshness.

All the bedrooms were stripped of wallpaper and carpeting.

The wall to wall drapes were also condensed to cover the window only - therefore making the rooms appear larger.

This room was in the basement . There is no before picture as I could not get in to take one. It was full of STUFF. The wainscoting was a dark wood and the floor had old carpet.

By de-cluttering, painting the wood white and adding new light fixtures and carpet we have gained another room!

The walls were in very bad shape - lots of imperfections - so I decided to use Venetian Plaster to add an old world spa like charm.

New hardware like, knobs on the cabinet, new towel and toilet paper bar, in brushed nickle, is like adding jewelry to a great outfit. I also added a frame made of wood trim to the existing mirror to finish the look.

This en-suite would not be complete without a new sink & faucet.

The bedroom before it became a Boudoir

Because of the window placement in the room, the queen size bed with headboard could only be placed against 1 wall. The customer expressed their desire for a king size bed but thought they did not have the space for it. 

The left is the closet before. the right is after I installed a closet organizer that allows for more storage.

This is the end result. A purple metallic impact wall behind the bed. By using the window as a headboard, the homeowner was then able to purchase a king size bed as it allowed for the bed to be centered and balanced on the wall.

The home owner has a  passion for purple !!

So instead of buying new furniture that is very expensive I sugested to paint the existing furniture to compliment the new purple walls.

The home is a 1960’s side split, with all original fixtures, in Burlington.

The bathroom has a beautiful window but the wall that divides the toilet & tub block out most of the light. This 60’s style bathroom also has a 2 entry ways that the owner found unnecessary.  My challenge was to create a “spa like” environment for the owner, without changing the placement of the fixtures. Update the bathroom with a timeless decor that would add great value to the home when the owner decides to sell.

After gutting the room to the studs the doorway to the master was closed off, leaving space to have a double sink and more countertop space. This also gave the homeowner more wall space in her bedroom.

I decided to make a glass block wall between the tub & toilet to let the light in from the window and still provide privacy for the toilet. Therefore the wall needed to be removed. Since the wall could not be totally removed , because it housed the stack, I decided to create a waterfall effect with the glass block that turned out amazing ! 

The 6×6 porcelain tile I chose,  laid in a cobblestone pattern actually makes the bathroom seem bigger and is less slippery when wet.

This customer was very happy with the new “Spa-Like” bathroom
